Hi Heather ~ Thank you so much for the great
post-marathon massages last week! Wish we lived in the area so we could
try out your new skills! I hope anyone in the Cary area looking for
massage therapy wouldn't hesitate to contact you...you gave me one of
the best massages I've ever had! I gladly referred you business today;
a fellow MA runner has a sister who lives in your area. I gave him your
card and suggested he referred her to you, and that he also pays you a
visit when he's in the area. Who knows? He might just run the 2011
Tobacco Road Marathon! All the best to you.

I’ve known Heather for several years now and have been
coming to see her since she had her main office in downtown Raleigh. I was quite shocked after our first
session to find out she had only been practicing for two years at that
time. I went thru Massage Therapy
school myself and can honestly say that she is a natural and her routines the
most fluid, her style the best I’ve seen so far. Without prompting, and with touch alone,
she could tell exactly where the trouble-spots were, and every massage I’ve
had from her has been designed around the locations of soreness and pain; none
of them have been the same massage. She also possesses
a professional yet friendly demeanor, and her accommodating nature along with
her knowledge is a must for those seeking a truly therapeutic and relaxing experience.

“Heather is the best massage therapist I have ever used. She does
consistently excellent work and makes every session count. She has been
able to relieve chronic pain in my neck/shoulder area and also provides
excellent recommendations for streching to continue improvement on your

“Heather Scott provides a consistently top notch service each and every
time she is called on. Heather's mastery of massage technique as well
as human anatomy makes her very proficient in her craft. She has a
gentle touch but can administer just the right amount of pressure when
called upon as well. Heather also teaches couples massage and has even
provided canine therapy (during her efforts to help for the Katrina
Relief Effort in Lousiana). She is professional, prompt and knows when
to listen as well as provide sound, helpful advice that can be taken
home and put to good use. I would highly recommend Heather Scott for
her massage services.”

“Heather is a great massage therapist. My husband and I have both been
going to Heather for years. She is so knowledgeable about the human
body and its muscle structure. I know if I go to Heather with a
specific problem, she will know what to do and I will feel better when
I leave. She is particularly skilled at sports massage, but can give a
mean hot stone massage, too.”

“I have been a client of Heather since I started training for my first
marathon in 2007. As my training mileage added up, so did my level of
soreness and pain. I had never had massage therapy before, but decided
to give it a try since I knew my physician would likely recommend a
break from running, which was not an option. Thanks to Heather's expert
application of massage therapy, I was able to continue my training and
complete the marathon. I continue to see Heather as I train for other
endurance events - especially when frequency and intensity of training
is high. In addition to a great deep tissue massage, she recommends and
teaches me specific stretches to help me manage the issue. I highly
recommend Heather's work to others! In fact, my daughter who was a
competitive year-round swimmer, is also a very satisfied client. She
would frequently develop knots in her shoulder muscles which her swim
coaches would try to work out, but without success. However, Heather
was able work out the knots and keep her swimming!”

“Heather's caring personality shines thru in her execution of her
current occupation. After my first visit, I felt very comfortable with
her, almost as if I had known her for many years. If she has had a bad
day or is distracted by personal matters, it sure doesn't show. Her
services are not only necessary for me to maintain a somewhat normal
lifestyle, but I look forward to each weekly session. I wish I could
afford to go more frequently. I have and will continue to recommend her
and her company to others"

Just got back Friday from spending the week in the mountains after doing Bandit's tri the previous weekend. I had an excellent race and my muscles felt good. Every muscle in my legs from hip to toe was sore the next day so I know I put everything I had into it. I rode hills six out of the nine days I was gone and got stronger every day. I did a 75 mile ride with two friends yesterday and stayed with them on some long hills near the end of the ride that I had been getting dropped on the last two months. Thanks again for the good massage. I know it helped.

Heather is extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and a true joy to work with. In my quest to become an Ironman, I acquired a hip and a calf injury in the month before my race which caused me shooting pains and was debilitating to my training. Because of effective and beneficial deep tissue massages Heather performed in conjunction with work done by my physical therapist, I had no pain issues in the final days leading up to my competition as well as my hip and my calf gave me no trouble at all throughout my entire race. Thank you Heather for all you did to make my dream of becoming an Ironman come true!

I just qualified at age 50 for the Boston Marathon and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without Heather! Massage therapy should be part of every athlete’s training plan. Don’t think of massage as a luxury but a necessity that helps you stay healthy and perform your best. I first went to Heather when she was working at the AE Finley YMCA and I followed her to her own practice when the Y could no longer offer massage. If you are looking for a great sports massage, I highly recommend Heather. It is well worth your time and money.

I've been a colleague of Michael's for close to two years and I respect his skills and confidently recommend him to clients who need his special strengths and talents. He is enthusiastic in his study of anatomy and he applies this to his work, providing a massage that is detailed and specific to his client's needs. You're in good hands with Michael.

Micheal it's Rachel just wanted to thank
you againfor working on me the other day. I really enjoyed mymassage. You have great pressure...I liked how youslowly progressed from a med pressure to a firmer pressure. I am used to having a consistantly firm pressure the entire time (and I prefer a firm pressure for most of my massage) but it was a nice change to feel like I was getting a relaxing massageas well as a deep tissue massage. I liked that you had soft hands and I felt that you were very professiona lwith your draping and explaining what you were doing and where you were about to work. The hot towels were a nice touch and I loved loved loved the face massage.
Thanks again,
Rachel
My name is Donna Dermyer, and I am a 60 year old woman from Omaha, Nebraska. My son, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, and new twin grandsons live in Youngsville. Therefore, I have become a frequent visitor to this area. I was blessed with very good health up until the time I was 55 years old. I then was in two accidents which left me with bulging discs, thoracic problems, and chronic muscle tightness. More recently, I have had two small strokes within the last year. Prior to these incidents I occasionally had a massage just for pleasure, but now I have a therapeutic deep tissue massage weekly. I have been to many massage therapists in Omaha. When the twins were born I offered to fly from Omaha and stay in Youngsville to help for two months. I tried to locate a warm water therapy pool and a massage therapist for that period of time. The A E Finley Branch of the YMCA was recommended to me. When I made my first massage appointment at the YMCA, it happened by chance to be with Heather. I can honestly say that it was by far the best therapeutic massage I have ever had. Before she started she listened to me describe areas that had been affected by my injuries and strokes and asked if there were places that I wanted her to concentrate on. She also checked to make sure the amount of pressure that she used was satisfactory. But best of all, Heather had "magic fingers" that worked into problem areas with wonderful motions and the deep pressure that was needed.
As Heather continued the massage I asked her what she was feeling in those problem areas. I was impressed by her knowledge of the body (muscles, nerves, bones, etc.) and the connections between the various parts. After the massage Heather patiently took the time to show and explain to me the anatomy of the problem areas on charts and posters. She also demonstrated for me several exercises that I could do at home I knew immediately that I had found my best therapist and wished I could take her back to Omaha with me when I had to return. Of course, that wasn't going to happen, but now, every time I visit my children and grandchildren I schedule appointments with Heather. When I was at the front desk scheduling an appointment, I commented that she has wonderful technique and knowledge. They said that they frequently hear similar comments. I hope that you have the pleasure of receiving a massage from Heather some time. I'm sure that you will agree with my comment that she has magic fingers.

"I have been very pleased with all massage and body work performed by Mr. Searle. He takes his work seriously, is very thorough, and beyond technical skills, seems to have a good intuitive sense with his clients. I can highly recommend him."

When I met Heather for the first time, I had only a week to recover from devastating hip pain before running the Boston Marathon. With non-refundable plane tickets, entry fees and hotel reservations there was no question of backing out. Yet even walking down the stairs was painful! Heather targeted the area of pain and went to work, following up with advice on how to stretch the affected area. She also gave me advice on pre-marathon nutrition to prevent cramping. With Heather’s help, not only was I able to run the marathon – I did my best time! I have returned to Heather regularly so that I can continue to train hard. I highly recommend her to any serious athlete striving for peak performance!
